Spiritual Homelessness
We are caught in a tussle, And neither side knows quite what to do about it. On one hand you have the crowd that needs to belong! on the other, groups of individuals that just will not place stakes down.
They call it the need to be free.
Where do we draw the line in liberty and "submitting our selves" ? In the end we will all submit, either to Satan or God. But in the mean time we have a crisis!
I have spent the last few months in security , I guess that is partly why I see things a little different, or maybe it is those persons that influence me . You have these people called homeless. Some are there due to "mental" issues. Some are there over economic issues, but then there are those that mystify me. They have education, skills, and do not have to be there yet they choose to. I can not fathom sleeping under the stars in all kinds of weather conditions. Yea call me spoiled.
But as I study them, I came to realize the same persons in the "church" world! We have a crowd of "Spiritual " homeless persons. What happened to gathering? What about the command not to forsake ?? Mind you we have a group of spiritual landlords that do not make having a "home" easy.
I have taught and firmly believe ( stronger as I get older) that every thing we face today on this planet mimics something in the spiritual realm. We have those homeless persons that have a "mental" problem. They just can't seem to coexist with them selves let alone with others. Some have weird ideas. (I know how hard it is to live in a "normal"
( what ever that means) world when you are an abnormal person.
We have those that have economic issues ( must work on days we choose to gather. ) But then there are those that for no good reason choose to walk away.
Time is ticking and well we can delude our selves that we can keep abreast with real issues in a propaganda world. I know main stream has been corrupt for generations. But we need each other. Real ministries struggle to keep going (into the highways, byways) while circus acts flourish. Flocks go after the latest rave, craze or fashion statement. All fed bitter grass that rots their bellies. While a ma - pa Gospel "Steak House" dies in front of them.
How can we reach them? How can we afford to keep going?
I am open to any suggestions .. in the mean time all I can pray.
