Are we taking lightly about God's Kingdom?
I don't wanna ask anyone how deep is their relationship with the Lord. Because our personal relationship with Him is between us and God only. Time will come that we will take account on Him and all things we did here on earth, hidden or exposed will be judged.
They said that many Christians today go to church every Sunday service for fellowship, worship the Lord by singing, dancing or lifting hands but it became just a normal thing and been compared to what like the old Pharisees did. It never changed and just getting worst.
It is a sad reality and it does. This is because, we all are claiming to be Christians but we are taking our commitment to Him so lightly. Kingdom of God is being overlooked most of the time.
When Jesus went here on earth, what He did was to preach and tell about the Kingdom of God , until He was crucified and rose after three days. So if Jesus went here to preach about, it simply means that it is very important. It leads to the very foundation of our faith. Jesus came to establish it.
But kingdom of this world is far different to what God offers us. The world context of kingdom is having power over others which many are trying to gain. Don’t care if others would be hurt. They want to control others by using money, power, possession, guns, etc.
If we bear the name of the Lord and as a citizen of heaven, what shall we do? God is expecting from us an inner transformation and not power over others. He wants us to sacrifice all that we have, inside and out. We should seek Him earnestly and we will find Him. We are expected to give up everything, to sacrifice for his Kingdom. Remember that our God is a holy one, meaning we will not be going into a place where there is unclean and impure. In Hebrews 12:14, we are instructed to seek and pursue holiness so we can see the Lord.
Yeah, we are all sinners but when Jesus came here, everyone who accept Him is given a a priviledge by his grace, mercy and love. Our lives here is a journey and we all experience lots of test after. But we have to work it out to remain good and faithful servant until His return.
"'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:9-10)
