The Strongman Series #7 - The Lying Spirit
“So you see that Adonai put a lying spirit in the mouths of your prophets. For Elohim has pronounced your doom (2 Chron. 18:22)
The lying spirit brings an army forward, on assignment against the saints . The First unit to hit is flattery. All those flowery praises that get us all puffed up to see how much credit we will acquire rather than give God glory. Just like a politician gushing over a baby, to obtain votes or a sales man complimenting that you have lost weight or some thing to obtain a sale , these people come with a hidden agenda to infiltrate and then destroy! They win trust through flattery then move into offices of authority , then reveal the true self by corrupting in power, then allowing a flood gate of attacks loose!
The second wave of attack can come through superstition., but here Timothy (1 Tim 4:7) tells us not to waste time in these fables! If unchecked we can drift like so many denominations, shrouding our selves in cloaks of ritualistic superstitions, which serve to do no more than place religious bondages upon us!
Still the Strongman has more in his unit! The Lying Spirit has a cavalry Unit that can move quickly, consisting of False Accusations, slanders, and gossip! These can move quickly through congregations, and people, shutting down prayer meetings, and destroying fellowship and leadership ! The final attack comes as they weaken, by exaggerations, and lies, often breaking leaders (Pastors / Shepherds) hearts and causing them to be discouraged! Or worse causing a revolution to oust them. Now where a banner of Truth and Righteousness flew, only dust and a banner of Strong Delusion unfurls!
How many times do we sit and gossip, or listen as others gossip rather than standing up and walking out! How many times do slanderous stories erupt and we do not say a thing?? This strongman has declared war against the righteous saints , and is on assignment to wear them down! This Strongman must be defeated , taken into check and subdued with the love of Yeshua! Amayn!
Oh Strong man of Lying Spirit, we assemble together and bind you hand and foot with strong cords and deliver you to the feet of Truth and Justice that the Glory of Elohim be proclaimed as mighty and victorious! We will not be scattered, nor will we tolerate your gossip and lies that you loose in our midst, and rebuke them in the name of Yeshua Ben Yawey our banner and mighty fortress!
Ruach ha Kodesh (Holy Spirit) we ask you to place the blood of the lamb upon our door posts , oh deliver us from Evil ! Forgive us father of any gossip or lie , or deceit we have done, permitted or allowed ! Reveal the faces we may have forgotten that we may go make an atonement that all will be well with us on that day!
Wash us and we shall be whiter than snow!

A lying prophet has words that fail. A true prophet has words that reveal even in time as true. We deem all prophets false until such time the words come true.; Even I am declared false until all words are true . Many things spoken in my past still wait to be revealed are they true ?? How can they announce me innocent when what I spoke is yet to come??
Yet thoroughly I faithfully continue to warn, counsel, call, summon, cry even in the face of personal insult and lack of respect. Those that did not head many in my past have fallen and I weep for them, some truthfully were struck down and now wait for the trumpet to rise and be judged, yet not a day passes that I wish it had been me that passed and them that had been granted life.
I have seen wolves, I have seen vipers and pythons , I tread amongst them yet I am not bitten ( yet) though they lash at me my Lord ( sweet Adonai ) lives and delivers me again and again. Who am I that deserves such love from the mighty one? I consider myself no greater than the beggar at the door. I am not as saintly as the thief, nor as forgiven as a murderer , and yet I weep and am carried to my fathers arms. I grow weary , wil my abba call for me to rest? Not yet ( ~ sigh~ ) Not yet for there is much to be done.
