The Strongman Series #10- The Spirit of Jealousy

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy , it does not boast , it is not proud (1 Cor 13: 4)

Many mistake jealousy for love. That is because it is a counterfeit ! Every thing God does Satan will counterfeit in order to deceive. He can make things almost real like so we will fall into his trap. So many followers today are going for the counterfeit instead of what is real that it was truly written that IF IT Were possible , he (Satan) could deceive the very elect.

As I began to think and compile my notes for this I came under heavy “fire” so to me satan did not want this written. Thanks to my special closest advisor who realized the attack of satan and over looked what they felt or believed was fact, and sent me encouragement. NOW THAT IS LOVE!

In all my previous “attacks” I hit the Strongman head on! But note I am using a sort of flanking maneuver .. Why? Simply the only way to beat this one is to show the real “love” then others see the deception and leave it!

So instead of simply revealing the enemy, I chose in prayer and study to show the “Allied” version of true love and then show the counterfeit . Using I Corinthians 13: 4- 7 as a guide I begin my message.

By this all men will know that you are my disciples if you love one another. < John 13: 35>

Based on this one line ( something rare for me) I formed a qualifier for our selves. How to identify a true disciple! LOVE!! So knowing true love must be important ! So what is it that defends us from the “False Love”. We look to 1Corinthians 13: 4 - 7
Love is patient Jealousy is Impatient, contentious
Love is kind Jealousy is cruel, vengeful
Love does not envy Jealousy is envious, suspicious, accusing
Love doesn’t boast Jealousy makes us overtly competitive
Love is not proud Jealousy causes us to retaliate, and be arrogant
Love isn’t rude Jealousy causes strife, bigots
Is not self seeking Spiteful, self promotion
Not easily angered Anger rage cruelty
Keeps no records of wrong s Bitterness, retaliation, unforgiveness
Rejoices in the truth Plots gossip, maligns, lies, misconstrues
Always protects Leaves defenseless, belittles
Always hopes Spreads doubt
Perseveres Quits (divorce)

Are you jealous?? (repent) Are you domineering (repent) The ultimate symbol of true love is self sacrifice for it is written :
Jhn 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Father I bind the spirit of jealousy and hatred, in the name of Yeshua , who showed me the perfect example of love by laying His life down for me . I rebuke this false sense of love, and renounce any root in my life. May I prove my self a good disciple. Help me to love even the unlovable … Amayn
