Control Freak
Know you that Adonai is God ; it is He that created us not we our selves; we are his people , and the sheep of His pasture (Psalm 100:3)
Come on admit it ... you are a control freak, we all are in one way or another..
Every thing in our life especially our children. We control every aspect of their behavior. Our relationships, our employment.
As in all things, admitting you have a problem helps. But that in itself is not enough. God wants control, in all we do. We all struggle with this for various reasons. How can we fight a battle where we want full control , and so does God.
Let me share with you some important phrases then I want you to copy them on a 3 x 5 inch card ..
God is in control
God is good 100 % of the time
God really does know what is best for me
God's timing is perfect ( no matter how I feel)
God is faithful
God's love is for me.
Now we can meditate on these phrases and apply each to every situation of our lives.
Now as we review each phrase we can contemplate:
God is in control .. (LG , LG ... Let go, let God)
God is good all the time ( so where is this silver lining)
God knows what is best .. (What me worry?)
God's timing is perfect ( Time to loose my watch .. or no watch = no stress)
God is faithful (I am going to believe it and trust)
God's love is for me. ( I am blessed)
